Biography

My first recording was with a MiniDisc (MD) back in 2001 in Havana, Cuba. I recorded with a stereo-microphone placed in the living room at a friends apartment in Central Havana during a combined rehearsal and a family gettogetther. 
 A few days earlier I went to a bar for some refreshments. At the same bar I met thees great Soneros, Miguel Damian y sus Soneros. We ended up jamming for a few days and later we decided to record this album. 
 Back then I didn’t know what to do whit it, there were no distribution possibilities. Spotify didn’t exist, nor Apple Music etc. So my recording went to sleep for 19 years. But here it is whit a fresh master “Despertando el Pasado”. 
 (Due to the audio gear back then it might be some digital clipping and MiniDisc sound problems that could not be fixed in the master process. And of course the hard compression.)
