Biography
GOV is a UK born, Toronto based Electro /RnB artist, songwriter and producer. Mid-2016 he released his debut EP Nights via Complex to widespread positive acclaim and featured artists such as Ye Ali and Amir Obe with production by Syk Sense (Drake, Bryson Tiller, Travis Scott), Jaegen (Ramriddlz, ZAYN) and more. His numbers and online presence has since increased extremely and has gotten a substantial amount of media coverage and was well received by fans and critics alike as GOV managed to craft his own sound. GOV remained shrouded in mystery as he worked on his follow up EP 'The Roses', released in late spring 2017. This marked his transition into a more contemporary RnB / alternative electro lane. GOV cites his new sound influenced by being born in London and absorbing the more electro heavy music scene and rave culture and the darker, moodier vibes from living in Toronto. Late 2017 brought another release from GOV, with the release of 3 songs collectively entitled 'NOMAD'. These songs build further on the RnB/Electro lane that GOV has crafted, but delved deeper into the experimental side of things with underlying elements of indie/alternative music along with the contemporary/dirty RnB and electro basis of the songs. GOV released his full length debut project entitled 'The Red Room' Summer 2019 and has a steady stream of singles and videos releasing through out 2020/2021 from the forthcoming 'Where The Wild Things Are / When The Darkness Comes' double disc release.
