Biography

Ricardo Pita is an innovative singer-songwriter from Guayaquil, Ecuador. Pita's unique style has caught the attention of the media and fans not only in Ecuador but also in other countries in Latin America and Europe. Considered a musical chameleon, who changes style many times on the same album. His music goes through genres as varied as tropical, swing, polka, alternative rock and Latin American folklore. 
 Pita opened the concerts in Ecuador of the Salvavidas de Hielo tour by singer-songwriter Jorge Drexler , with whom he sang as a duet in several cities. He has shared the stage with Luis Alberto Spinetta, Kevin Johansen, Babasónicos, Monsieur Periné, Adán Jodorowsky, El Kanka, El Cuarteto De Nos, Totó La Momposina among others. He was invited to participate in the international Trova festival in Yucatán along with Caetano Veloso, Natalia Lafourcade , Silvio Rodríguez and Pablo Milanés, but he was illegally imprisoned and deported back to his country. He participated in the festival of singer-songwriters of Alta Gracia, Cordoba in Argentina, in the Jóvenes Brotes of Chile, in the Buenos Aires Celebra of Argentina, in the Musica de Rua of Rio Grande do Sul of Brazil, and in the most important festivals of Ecuador . 
 With tours of Colombia, Uruguay, Peru, Ecuador, France, Spain, Argentina, Chile and Brazil, he has added many followers to his song that calls to get on the good side of life.
