Rapsody is a 3X GRAMMY nominated North Carolina emcee signed with super producer, 9th Wonder for Jamla Records, and most recently JAY-Z’s Roc Nation. The album Laila’s Wisdom solidified her place in the songwriting and music books. The phrase, “Give me my flowers while I can still smell them,” is a phrase spoken by Rapsody’s grandmother and resonates throughout the album. Critically acclaimed, Laila’s Wisdom is an album about love, confidence and living by the wisdom passed down to you. Most recently, her also critically acclaimed third release, EVE, cemented her as an artist here to stay. EVE celebrates the beauty, strength, and will of Black women through songs titled after iconic women such as Nina, Oprah and Afeni.
