Biography
Dirty Wolfs started late autumn of 2012 in Guadalupe, Nuevo Leon, a town that’s 10 minutes away from the state capital, Monterrey. With very few places to play, the band decided to put together their own shows until they participated in a battle of the bands that would subsequently land them their first EP recorded at Soundstation Studios in Monterrey in 2013, recorded and produced by Jheiva who has participated in recordings and productions with bands like The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Albert Hammond Jr. at Electric Lady Studios resulting in Show Me Your Teeth along with a Northern Mexico tour. During winter of 2014, the band decided to head back to the studio and record a 4 track EP at Nodriza Estudio releasing Desert City in November of that same year. They have toured and shared stages with national acts such as Ruido Rosa, Felipe El Hombre, Apolo, Cardiel, Corazón Attack and international acts like Motorama, P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S., The Greenery, Ave Negra, among others. In 2015 they were selected to participate in Austin’s SXSW where they received great acceptance from locals. In 2016 they entered a brief pause not without putting out Split Dirty Wolfs / Mantarrayas with the band Mantarrayas from Torreon, Coahuila. The band reunited in 2018 with the intention of recording new songs and later that year put out Faceless, Nameless and toured Northern Mexico. Moonchild is their latest release in 2020 and are currently in studio recording the debut album.
