Biography

Founded in 2018, Ascent of Autumn is a melodic deathcore band from Sydney, Australia, comprising of Tristan Daniell (vocals&bass), Jordan Jacques (guitars), Samuel Kennedy (guitars) and Natthapol Janpuang (drums). Operating as a three-piece, the band's early work resembled a melodic metalcore sound inspired by bands like As I Lay Dying, Bullet for my Valentine and Currents. Following a number of lineup changes, the band undertook a shift in direction, incorporating much darker inspirations from bands such as As Blood Runs Black, Shadow of Intent, and Fit for an Autopsy. The band's debut album, Awakened, is a concept album exploring personal strife and growth, with allusions to philosophical topics such as epistemology, existentialism and nihilism.
