Skinny Joey is an eclectic artist, and 1/3 of the Hip Hop Trio, S.W.U.S (So What U Sayin). His hip-hop perspective was developed in various areas of NY but he truly immersed himself into the hip-hop world at the age of 13 when he moved to North TX. Although Joey loved the art of hip-hop as a child--recalling rap lyrics before he could form complete sentences--he truly began to appreciate the art as developed into a dedicated artist. While his peers spent their money on video games and sneakers, Joey invested his funds into recording equipment to pursue his musical passion. Joey's artistry transcends with Golden age hip-hop fans while his lyrical assortment stems from music legends like Jay Z, Parliament, Biggie and Bobby Bland. This artist incorporates his witty personality, life experiences and deep rooted emotions into his music. Joey envisions that his art will be a pivotal and influential part of hip-hop and 21st century culture. Each song he creates provides a mental cleanse and blissful emancipation for listeners.
