Is not that in following Him, everything goes right,
But that He is enough, no matter what happens

You feeling like it's over
Before you even started
The weight that's on your shoulder everyday is getting harder
You made the payments, but lately can't make the minimum
Nothing on your statements, your savings daily dwindling
Your marriage is on fire, your first child died
Another one is popping pills just to feel alive inside
They say you have the cancer, can't afford the therapy
That preacher lied to you, How is that prosperity?
I prayerfully carefully in clarity call this heresy
Errancy, posterity halted apparently
Contrarily to how the Gospel was started
Every one of the apostles was either beaten or martyred
And Jesus was slaughtered, and God gave Him the order
He was deported, He crosses the border just to be tortured
Defeat or restored, regardless Jesus is Lord
Even when I lose it, you see me sleeping it off
That's the message of the Gospel. Not that everything is gonna be ok.
And it's maddening to me that the prosperity gospel
Is so unbelievably popular among people who then have to
Completely disregard Scripture as well as Christianity
His blood is richer than oil
Looked upon like as a spoil
The revelation of Christ caused a man to be boiled
It is not about the money at all
It's not about the price of the rim sitting under your car
And His people are not a dollar sign
They got a soul and a body.
Have you lost your mind?
I think you crossed your line
Preaching prosperity, something just like a pharisee
Searching through the manuscripts
What you teaching is heresy
Look in the mirror: is Christ who you compare to be?
Now ask yourself: is this world really a care to me?
I had it all, and I lost it all to the one I gained
Jesus the Christ, Yeshua is His proper name
Yeah, all this propaganda don't burn

Every apostle in the Bible dies bad, I mean bad.
I don't mean like someone in the street getting run over by a car.
They get beheaded, they get crucified upside-down
They get boiled in oil, they die poor!
And they're slaughtered. Spurgeon, the prince of preachers,
Struggles with depression his whole life, and then dies.
Christianity has been built and has carried through the generations
On the blood of man, not on the wealth!
This is an absurd idea that would make Christ not preeminent,
But what He can give you. That is not Christianity,
That is something entirely different.
And it's heresy that would have gotten you burned alive 200 years ago
That is a ridiculous notion. Jesus is enough.
He's enough, He's enough.
We pursue healing, maybe we get it, maybe we don't.
He's enough if we don't.
So it seems like Jesus can transcend
The most horrific of circumstances.
This is not about what Jesus gets you, it's just about Jesus.
Preeminent, top of the chain, nothing else to want,
Nothing else to pursue. He is enough
