Biography
Son of Cape Verdean parents, António Miranda - stage name Loony Johnson or Mocinho - was born in Lisbon, Portugal, on November 24, 1981. He showed his talent for the arts early on, and when he was only 6 years old, he became interested in drawing, considering a career in that area. Music sounded louder, and the musician and producer who eventually debuted in a Hip-Hop group called "Os Piratas do Ghetto", began in 1996 his path as a DJ, playing in several clubs in Lisbon and elsewhere, alongside names like Dj Callas, João Reis, Dj Djeff among others. In 2004 he formed, together with Tó Semedo, the production company TLDreamZ and in 2006 released his first album produced by the musician Kaysha. The 2nd album, "BackStage", comes out in 2009 and in 2012 the TLDreamZ project comes out with the hit "Undi Da Ki Panha". His production company LoonaticBoy Music comes in 2016, when he releases the 3rd album Believe. With a successful solo career, Loony Johnson has collaborated with names like Anselmo Ralph, Djodje, Nelson Freitas, Zeca Nha Reinalda, Dynamo or C4 Pedro, among many others. After 3 original albums and several hits released in the Kizomba and afrobeat soundscapes, Loony Johnson arrives now with "Mocinho", a versatile album where the more traditional sounds mix with the more contemporary afrofusion rhythms.
