Biography
Sabi Wu’s versatility is evident in his diverse music that consists of Afro-swing, Hip Hop and Trap, RnB, Afrobeats, Reggae and Dancehall to name a few. Not only is he versatile but he is also unique as his music has an urban Nairobian twist unlinke none ever seen before. He has been touted as a pioneer of the next generation and is undoubtedly a star of the future. In 2020 , he released his first project named THE ONE featuring the smash hit Fanya Like This .This song took over the airwaves in Kenya and quickly catapulted Sabi Wu to local stardom. He followed it up with The One, Vol. 2 and Pale Pale featuring artists Kahu$h and Korb$ to cement himself as a force to be reckoned with in the industry. In 2021 he released his collaborative tape with Korb$ called TRAPSTATION that introduced a new sound to the Kenyan hip hop scene. WACHA NIREST off the tape would garner hundreds of thousands of views across music platforms and would win the hearts of many people. Sabi Wu was born Waiganjo Mwangi in Buru Buru, Nairobi, Kenya. He fell in love with music at a young age when his parents taught him songs by Bob Marley & The Wailers and Michael Jackson. His mum bought him a small keyboard when he was 8 and he would play his favorite songs and make his own Melodies with it. In his teenage years, he downloaded Fruity Loops on his father’s laptop and learnt how to produce beats, record and engineer himself. At only 21 years old, there is much more to expect from Sabi Wu .
