Biography

Aizat Amdan has become a household name in the Malaysian music industry ever since he was discovered on Malaysia’s biggest reality TV show ‘Akademi Fantasia’ more than a decade ago. The show which saw him as one of the top 5 finalists catapulted his stardom and allowed him to showcase his talents as an accomplished singer and songwriter. Aizat has since written countless hit songs and has garnered several prestigious awards in the local and regional music arena. This includes the Best Vocal Performance for the Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM) and the regional Anugerah Planet Muzik (APM), and even Best Song and Best Performance at the Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL), which is also the longest-running song competition in Malaysia. Aizat has also performed in other countries like Indonesia, Singapore and even Europe when he was selected to perform at the 18th Discovery International Pop Music Festival in Varna, Bulgaria. Heavily influenced by alternative, pop rock and britpop music, the guitar-strumming singer is also known for his smooth vocals and sincere song-writing. Having collaborated with several renowned local singers in various music projects, the talented star also recently released a duet with Indonesian star Hanin Dhiya in a single called ‘Ku Mau’. With more than 12 years of professional music experience under his belt, Aizat is set to soar even higher and create greater impact in perfecting his craft.
