    Biography

    Ruken Yılmaz was born in 1990 in Istanbul. She is from the Siirt/Eruh region. The musician, who began singing and playing the guitar at a young age, made her stage debut in the same years. Yılmaz joined the Marmara University Music Teaching Department in 2008 and began performing music within the framework of MKM (Mesopotamia Cultural Center) during that time. She was a member of several bands and projects before releasing her first solo album, Zelî, in 2016 under the direction of Genco Arı. Following that, she released several singles, and in 2022, she released her second solo album, Sê Çiya, directed by Nurhak Kılagöz.
