Biography
Hey thank you for listening to my music and for taking the time to read more about me. Come chat with me on Instagram @pyralid Gijs Driesenaar - Pyralid - is a Dutch independent music producer and songwriter whose immersive music triggers the imagination, thanks to its rich sound and detailed textures. His debut album, Life in Progress, released in 2022, was written and produced entirely by himself in his home studio throughout 2020 and 2021. The album portrays his self-reflective character with colorful electronic indie pop songs that generally have a positive feel to them. While some songs touch upon difficult subjects, they ultimately leave the listener in a hopeful and happy mood, conveying the idea that even difficult experiences can eventually be turned into something positive. Since 2020 he has released singles regularly. Colorize, his most popular song to date, was recognized by the Spotify editorial team and was featured on Spotify’s Indie Pop playlist. 2022 saw his first collaboration: The End of Us, co-produced by The Fortune. It was featured on Rolling Stone India as an exclusive premiere and was added to Spotify’s New Music Friday NL, New Music Friday India and Fresh Finds India. Pyralid takes inspiration from artists like Tennyson, Still Woozy, Glass Animals, Flume, Laxcity, Jon Bellion, and Refs.
