Biography
Born in Dominica, a small island in the Caribbean, Oriel grew up immersed in music. Part of a drum band and an active member of his school and church choir, it was there that he discovered and started to develop his passion for the art of music. From his unpretentious island to the urban metropolitan, ORieL's music was influenced by a myriad of genres, he describes his music as “Reggae/Fusion’’, reggae fused with the sound of Jazz, RnB, Rock, Blues and Hip Hop. Having mastered the art of production, ORiel honed his craft by working with local and international artists and world renowned producers. Joined by his band “The Revoluters”, a name given to his fans he has performed on numerous stages to sold our crowds such as Reggae SumFest, Rebel Salute, Montreal International Reggae Festival and Reggae Fusion Fest. Signed to Afar Music Group recording label, in an unprecedented move in this history of reggae ORieL’s released two eps on the same day “Confidence 2.0’’ and “Love SoulJah’’, which featured productions by Grammy nominated producer Daniel Boyle, and has since then released copious successful singles and videos. <br>
