Biography

American soul singer-songwriter Christopher Peyton got his musical start singing at his father’s church in Virginia. As an artist, Peyton adopted his surname as his stage name. Peyton supports causes such as the All Ways Up foundation in the US, which helps first-generation, low-income youth get through college. He is also an ambassador for anti-bullying in the UK. Peyton has performed in over 200 cities, in over sixty countries, across six continents. Large international events include the Sydney Mardi Gras and the Beijing Olympics after-party. Peyton’s accolades include: 2003 his first-ever hit “A Higher Place” earning him a global fanbase, 2009 a collaboration with the Freemasons “Love Is The Answer” hit #1 in the UK, 2009 “Streets Of Cairo” received a Virgin Music Award in the Middle East, 2011 “A Little Louder” charted in the US, UK and Australia, 2012 “Changin” topped the US Billboard and UK charts, 2012 ‘Beautiful’, released on Hysteria Records and was a best-selling soulful house track, 2015 “I’ll Rise”, performed on X-factor with Simon Cowell describing him as ‘pure class.’ 2017 “Sinners Got Soul Too” album was released including singles/remixes “When they Go Low”, “Carry You” and “Jericho”.
