Biography

Balázs Szallabek and Adrián Chrobák have produced and performed together since their high school years in 2016. Having played in various bands and formations, the duo has had the chance to experiment with multiple genres both together and on an individual level. These years of trial and error have set a path for their refined project Labek & Chrobak. Labek & Chrobak’s sound combines elements of downtempo, electronica, folktronica and deep house. As both members are guitar players originally, it was an obvious choice for them to incorporate the instrument in multiple ways into their sound. Their love for deep bass riffs, combined with drums of dance music and tribal percussive elements have become the signature sound of the duo. Balázs and Adrian are also performing regularly across Europe in the live band of Music Moves Europe Award 2022 winner 'Дeva'. Her hit debut album 'Csillag' features two songs with the duo’s co-writing and co-production, one of which has been the top track on her LP, 'Szélben Szőtt'. Labek & Chrobak’s first official release ‘Nothing to Find' also features Дeva on vocals. After the successful release of Labek & Chrobak debut EP ‘Wanderer’, the duo has asked several artists to reimagine the tracks and prepare their own versions. The remixes incorporate intensified drums and electronic elements. The remix EP is set to be released 21st July.
