Biography

Hi, David here. I started Tuya in 2010 by myself. A couple of years later I called some friends to help me playing my songs and we ended up playing in every festival (Primavera Sound, FIB, etc) and most venues in Spain and part of EU. We got media attention, even Rolling Stone putted us as “promising” of the year. We left our label (Subterfuge) to go DIY. With a huge tour ahead, we splitted up on the first gig. These years I’ve been working as producer and multiinstrumentalist for Christina Rosenvinge, Alex Ferreira, Russian Red, Desakato, Javiera Mena, Sidonie, Anni B Sweet, La Prohibida and a list up to a hundred music projects. I made music for films, theatre and advertising as well. Now, 7 years later, I come back by myself again. Tuya is the T that I used to hide on David T. Ginzo. I made ‘Proxy’ as an album and a book. I’m gonna release it on September 15th. You can hear ‘Coup in My Eyes’ from March 27th and ‘Ball Under the Car’ from June 16th. Follow me on IG @tuyamusic.
