Basit Mir is a Rapper, Songwriter, Singer & Music Producer, born on 12 Jan 2001 in Kashmir, Srinagar, Inspired by his grandmother who’s a poet but couldn’t write herself cause she didn’t know how, she would tell Econ to write her poetry so she could send her work to get it published, it became a habit and Econ started writing his own poetry, interested in music from the beginning Econ’s poetry turned to songs when he was introduced to rap music by the American Rapper Eminem. Econ released his first song ‘’Kale Chot’’ in 2018 and also worked on his debut album called ‘’Kashur’’ in the same year to represent his culture and style, doing every song of the album in Kashmiri language was really important to him.
