Biography

Formed in Atlanta, GA by Peter Felix Armstrong (Lead vocals/Keyboards), Ricardo Meléndez (drums/vocals) and Jesse Greene (Guitars/vocals); Dearestazazel’s music was inspired by videogame music and groups such as Blue Öyster Cult, The Faint and many others. They combined a rock foundation with powerful electronic accompaniment. Dearestazazel began touring immediately after joining forces in late 2005, playing over 100 shows in the Southeast United States and releasing their first album, Come Closer (2006), all in their first year! The band followed up in early 2007 with more touring, this time kicking off in the Northern States, as well as a new EP, Touch Me (2007), which was produced by Chris Unck. This album found its way to Brad Fischetti, owner of OneEleven Records, who was so impressed with Dearestazazel’s sound that he signed them to his label. After more extensive and non-stop touring, the band released Be Mine (2008) under OneEleven Records. This album found their drummer featured in the prestigious Modern Drummer Magazine, and also found the band touring with bands like Mindless Self Indulgence, 3 Inches of Blood, etc After a 12 year hiatus, Dearestazazel’s back!! They signed to Música del Alma Records and re-released their first album, Come Closer; as well as their second album, Touch Me. Their new single, Big Blue Moon -scheduled to be released, February 14th!! So, stay tuned!!
