Biography
New Zealand band Black Smoke Trigger is on a mission. Constantly pushing themselves to the creative limit, and there’s no better example than the music video for their debut single ‘Caught In The Undertow’ which was literally filmed underwater. The band formed in 2019 and quickly hit the studio to record the EP ‘Set It Off’ with legendary producer Michael Wagener (Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Skid Row). Wagener says “I loved their music from the minute we met. The songs are kick-ass”. Mötley Crüe guitarist Mick Mars also featured on the track ‘The Way I’m Wired’. ‘Set It Off’ jumped onto the US Billboard charts with #12 Hard Rock Album Sales & #13 Heatseekers Albums, as well as 5 other categories. A then self-managed band from a small town in New Zealand beating major label releases. BST caught the ear of Spectacle Entertainment Group’s legendary rock manager Andy Gould (Pantera, Rob Zombie, Linkin Park, Guns N’ Roses). Speaking on the band’s debut “It's everything I love about rock music,” said Gould. In 2021, BST signed with the Los Angeles based manager. In April 2022, the band teamed up with Grammy award winning producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Alice In Chains, Korn) to record their debut album (coming 2023) at Rock Falcon Studio in Nashville, TN. The band consists of vocalist Baldrick, guitarist Charlie Wallace, bassist Dan Fulton & drummer Josh Te Maro. Black Smoke Trigger will be hitting the road in 2023 to promote the release of their upcoming debut album.
