The Freedom Affair is a 9-piece soul juggernaut based out of Kansas City, MO. Conceived in the tail-end of 2017, the band is fronted by an explosive trio of vocalists and backed by members of The Grease Traps, Chris Hazelton's Boogaloo 7, and Instant Karma! Their hard-hitting debut single "Rise Up" was released on Colemine Records in June of 2019 and has appeared in Netflix’s “Self Made” as well as the worldwide spot for the Apple Watch Series 6 (It Already Does That!). Their debut album “Freedom Is Love”, released on Sunflower Soul Records, explores themes of love, heartache, empowerment, and togetherness through a varying landscape of hard-hitting funk, luscious soul, and everything in between.
