Biography
Dorm Patrol is a pop-punk band with hooks so catchy and riffs so fast and sometimes heavy. Inspired by the albums that came out in the late 90’s but with a cooler production the songs won’t leave your head for weeks! From the city of Strömstad in Sweden the members consist of Max Dahlby on vocals and guitar, Johan Olsson on lead guitar and backup vocals, Anton Hognert on bass and backup vocals and Simon Olsen behind the drums. Dorm Patrol was formed in the year of 2010 and have since then toured and released two albums, ”Big Apple 3 A.M”(2013) and ”Alleycat Blues”(2015), album names taken from the first two levels of the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game ”Turtles in time”. I think you know what a third album would be called…They have also managed to play some of the bigger festivals in Europe like West Coast Riot and Groezrock as well as opening for acts such as All Time Low, Sum 41 and Millencolin. The band was brought up on skateboarding, crappy MTV shows and the music that came along with that era, a song never sounds better then on VHS with the sounds of skateboarding over it. The latest song ”Skate and Die” is inspired of all those nights skateboarding under the city lights, hanging out with friends and trying to top each other. The song have the bounce, the pop and speed of everything that makes skateboarding and pop-punk.
