Biography

Fabrizio Cammarata grew artistically opening shows for Ben Harper, Patti Smith, Hindi Zahra, Iron & Wine, Villagers, The Paper Kites, Damien Rice, Daniel Johnston. 
 Born in Palermo, Sicily, with 6 albums to date, his songs of love and longing are inspired by the voices of Chavela Vargas and Leonard Cohen, along with Federico García Lorca’s poetry. He shifts through multiple languages, staying true to his Mediterranean descent, evolving with the musical curiosity of a tireless traveller. 
 He made his debut in 2007 with the band The second grace, and in 2011 he started his solo carrer with "Rooms", produced by J.D. Foster (Calexico, Marc Ribot). Since 2013, he has been working on the road movie "Send You A Song” with director Luca Lucchesi, about the traditional Mexican song "La Llorona", whose version by Cammarata also appears on his EP "In Your Hands" (2016) and is featured in all of his live shows. 
 His latest albums are “Of Shadows” (2017) and “Lights” (2019) – both produced by Dani Castelar (Paolo Nutini, Editors, R.E.M.) – established Fabrizio as one of the most appreciated Italian voices abroad in the alternative music scene. The single “Long Shadows” is - to date - the most successful track by Cammarata with more than 3 million streams on Spotify (as of 2022). The two albums were followed by extensive tours in Europe, Canada, U.S., Mexico and the Middle East. 
 The new EP will be out in March 2023.
