Biography
Dublin - born songwriter and producer, Josh uses a heart-on-sleeve writing style with infectious R&B melodies to leave listeners only wanting more. He pulls influences from Justin Timberlake and Michael Jackson to Maroon 5 and The Weeknd; where he has adopted a multi-faceted singing style - switching between impeccable falsettos to his soulful Irish tone. Gray began cutting his teeth as a member of chart-topping Irish band Hometown at 17 years old where he went on to tour and play in some of the UK & Ireland's most prestigious venues such as the O2 in London and Dublin's 3 Arena. After venturing into a solo career, Josh’s debut single Cut Loose amassed a lot of attention landing on Spotify’s New Music Friday, The Pop List, Perfect Day, Easy and New Pop to name a few. Following the success of the single, he then opened for Rita Ora in Madrid’s WizInk Centre. When the pandemic paused the music industry for 2 years, Josh used this as an opportunity to perfect his craft; he wrote over 500 songs over the pandemic and gave himself 10,000 hours to refine his production skills while also totaling over 5 and a half million streams on Spotify with his artist project. In the last 18 months, Gray has had a number of cuts including a Number 1 with South Korea’s K-Pop group, ASTRO, and has gone on to open up for artists such as Olly Murs and McFly in the U.K. Now newly relocated to London, Josh is looking to bring a nuanced approach to the pop music scene.
