Biography
Brett and Caleb met and became instant friends in Seattle Washington, 2015. Brett had a home studio and Caleb had a couple songs. They got together to record their debut single, In Orbit. In Orbit was inspired by artists like Bon Iver, Sleeping at Last and Novo Amor. In Orbit allowed Windwell to test the musical waters as they developed their current sound, which is cinematic and moving. Let the vocals, drums, and strings — washed in cavernous reverb — carry you, while delicate and unique instrumentation moves you melodically through each song. With one song under their belts and a good framework for sound and vibe, Windwell went on to release their debut EP, Burrow. Windwell went quiet for a bit after the release of Burrow, but came back with more inspiration and gusto than before to release their first cover (Imagine by John Lennon) and first Christmas song (White Christmas) in 2017. After hitting the drawing board and finding new inspiration in pop songs from the past, Windwell launched their new project, “The 1950s”, where they covered pop sensations, Fats Domino (Ain't That A Shame), Frank Sinatra (Come Fly With Me), Johnny Cash (I Walk The Line) and the Everly Brothers (All I Have To Do Is Dream). Upon completion of “The 1950s” project, Windwell will march forward covering songs through the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and so on. Follow and share, thank for listening!
