Biography
Bursting onto the scene with her debut single Sassaparilla, Muki amassed a legion of fans especially among the media who praised the young artist for her ‘forward thinking pop’ positioning her as ‘Australia’s Pop Princess’ (Pilerats). A successful string of singles and the release of her debut EP It Won't Hurt landed Muki support with 5 Seconds of Summer on their Australian arena tour. The last 12 months have seen Muki showcase her immense songwriting talents collaborating with Briggs, The Veronicas, Cosmo's Midnight, Slayyyter and Jessica Mauboy, garnering the pop savant two ARIA Award Nominations for her work on Jessica Mauboy’s #1 record HILDA and Briggs’ Always Was EP. It was these efforts that captured the attention of international/UK based management company Tribe, who have been working closely with Muki in establishing her as an Australian pop-heavyweight. The Sydney-based future-pop artist has now released her sophomore EP 'Car Crash Through Your Heart: Part 1', sonically and visually inspired by Ridley Scott's 1982 Blade Runner. Welcome to the Mukiverse.
