Biography

Andy falls in love quickly which is bad for her heart but good for her music. With influences from Camila to Norah Jones, Lake Street Dive to Carla Morrison, Natalia Lafourcade to Adriene Lenker, Andy plays with vulnerability and atmosphere, skipping from genre to genre while keeping the truthful storytelling that has always been the backbone of her music. Her songs tap into the tensions of falling into and out of love— the familiar tug between remembering and letting go, remembering and romanticizing, remembering and getting a good nights sleep.  Summer of 2016, while living in Cambridge Massachusetts- Andy found an old razor scooter in the alley behind her house and spent the summer navigating a painful first heartbreak on its squeaky wheels. The poems, napkin scribbles and book-margin notes from that time became the first bundle of love songs she released: "Scooter Blues". Her second project was an exploration in genre with bandmates Michael Keehan, Dominique Carrieri and Marc Babcock in "The Great Mouse Parade." Their self-titled EP held soft music to sway to alongside upbeat tunes. Andy Leon is a Los Angeles based musician. She was born in Queretaro, learned how to play the guitar in Sao Paolo, wrote her first song in Cincinnati, went to school in Boston, released her first EP in New York City, and is now living in LA making music with her band Jack Rabbit! They are set to release their EP in spring of 2022
