Happy Sometimes is an artist, producer, and writer that has been perfecting her craft since the age of 13. In 2017, Happy received her first platinum record (see, DVBBS Parallel Lines feat. Happy Sometimes), played Chicago's Lollapalooza, as well as being awarded a plaque from Spotify for over 35,000,000 global streams. That included her first independently released EP ‘Videotapes’' and her song ‘Love For The Weekend’ that landed on the US Viral chart /Spotify’s Global Hits playlist / a spot on most New Music Friday playlists around the world on the day of its release. What makes Happy unique amongst artists in the indie pop/ alternative space is her ability to create an entire world all on her own from her bedroom and tell a story that offers a sweet escape for the listener. Every sound you hear, from the drums or the level of tremolo in the guitar, to the harmonic layers in the vocal is a direct result of the pure emotion she felt while creating the song. She cleverly blends the lyrical and melodic elements of artists like Sheryl Crow, with the drum tones of artists like Wu-Tang or 2Pac. Majorly influenced by the Beatles, Happy ascends genre by simply feeling her way through life and her music continues to evolve with her. In contrast with the raw fragility of her vocal, the unapologetic honesty in her lyrics suggest Happy to be fearless.
