There lies an intangible shadow hidden in the depths of mankind's psyche. Nothing in life is black and white - nothing is without shade, without grey, without that shadow. Equally, where there is darkness, there will always be light to meet it. It is on this philosophy of contrast that the progressive-metalcore trio Assurance created their sophomore EP, 'From Ruin: Volume I'. Combining their soaring singles 'Facade' and 'From Ruin' with three brand new tracks, 'From Ruin: Volume I' is the first instalment in a two-part saga exploring a deeply personal and painful journey of self-discovery that the members of the band have undergone in their lives.
