Biography
Esang De Torres has earned titles and accomplishments at a very young age. At fifteen years old, she has lived a musical life that one aspiring singer could only dream of. At the age of 4, her music career started after winning different singing competitions and winning an artist contract from Star Magic. She was named “Mini Lea Salonga” after being part of the noontime show, even tapping the emotions of the show’s hosts with her heartfelt singing. When she was eight years old, she joined The Voice Kids Philippines Season 2, winning third place. She became “the youngest artist to stage a major solo concert in the Philippines.” She released her first solo album at the age of 9. And then, she had her musical theater debut as Little Cosette in the Manila and Singapore run of Les Miserables. Eventually, she played a musical lead role as Matilda in the Manila run of Broadway’s Matilda the Musical. Esang de Torres is growing. At fourteen, she’s aware that stardom is not the end goal. She knows that perseverance and hard work are keys to reach her own definition of success. One day, she’ll soar high even more, beyond the limit of her dreams. And when that day comes, she’ll become every dreamer’s inspiration. “I believe my music is always based on what I express on. It’s like my inner voice coming through.”
