Mark Akol is a DJ, Music Producer & Radio DJ based in Cape Town, South Africa. He sees the entire continent of Africa as his home and strives to create music that empowers, inspires, evokes happy/positive emotions. He has worked with exciting artists such as : Dee Koala , Sipho The Gift , Amber J , G Body , Patty Monroe , KASHCPT and Maglera Doeboy (To name a few). These collaborations have held placements in various sportify playlists and most notably , Sportify's 'No Wahala', 'New Music Friday SA' & Aux palylists. Mark has temporarily taken a step back from Radio to focus on the growth of his brand as a producer. He now runs and interactive discussion show called : 'The Mark Akol Experience' , on his Youtube & IG Platforms. As a DJ, Mark always strives to deliver a memorable set as he shares his energy and passion with audiences wherever he plays. He started DJing in 2013 and mainly plays Hip Hop (and it's alternative dance and trap subgenres) , Neosoul, Afro Neosoul and Afro Tech House as well as a variety of African select sounds known as Afro Beats. He is currently a sound selector at Coco, Goldbar and Souk (in Cape Town) and has also played at events such as the World Famous : Everydayppl, The Bazique festival, Pop Bottles , Stay Fresh, Ipotsoyi Festival , Kool Out and many more. He believes that DJing is a psychological art that can only be mastered where passion and love for the art exist.
