Biography

The lack of a local scene and a desire to channel an emotional state of the human condition pushed Mocklove towards the forefront of whatever post-hardcore is turning into. The Columbia, Missouri-based quintet fuses honest, earnest lyrics with melodic and punchy riffs to create an impassioned catharsis that is more than worth the experience. After releasing their debut EP, It’s a Sacred Privilege to Walk Someone Home, the band spent time touring across the United States and sharing the stage with such names as Movements, Being As An Ocean, and Hawthorne Heights. Channeling influences such as Anberlin, Touche Amore, and Saosin, the band released two highly anticipated singles, We Shouldn’t Play the Slave & I Am Distance. The band is currently working on their sophomore effort.
