Biography

Lady Lex is a singer/songwriter based in London UK. Raised on jazz, blues, country & western, reggae & soul, Lady Lex is a very versatile artist but is mostly known for singing reggae.In 1987 her first record "Love Me Tomorrow" was released on the Galaxy Record label when she sung under the name of Lexy however, she felt that this type of reggae music did not represent her as an artist and no further recordings were made and she started making music at home. In 1993 Lex met up with Roame Lowry of "Maze". Working under the name of Moon she became part of an in-house production team. After taking a break to raise her family, Lady Lex returned to her career in 2003 where she teamed up with Peckings Records. Since then Lady Lex has recorded for Peckings, Cousins, World Sounds, Mafia n Fluxy, Lloyd Brown's Riddimworks, Kemar Flava McGregor, Donsome Records, BB Seaton, Magnet Records, Mas-Ski & her own label All Inclusive Music. These recordings led her to perform at clubs and music venues all over world such as the Sardinia Reggae Festival, Belgium, Scotland, York, o2 Proud, 02 Indigo and Oceans Music Venue. In 2013 Tony Williams presented Lady Lex with an award for her contribution as a female reggae artist and 2014 saw the release of the much awaited album "Is This Love" from Peckings Records.After taking a musical break to create Chaaawaaa Radio, Lady Lex has returned to song-writing.
