Biography
Songstress Nadia Ali is easily one of the most recognizable voices in Electronic Dance Music since her arrival as front woman of iiO and immediately found worldwide success with her 2001 debut single "Rapture". In keeping with the initial momentum, she released singles "Is it Love" and "At The End" as part of iiO's "Poetica" album soon after. She then launched her solo career in 2005 with a string of collaborations with high profile artists like Armin Van Buuren, Avicii and Alesso to name a few. Her Solo debut album, "Embers" was released in 2008, with a triple remix album series "Queen of Clubs Trilogy" that followed a year later and featured the single "Fantasy" (Morgan Page Remix), which was nominated for a Grammy in 2010. After spending several years non-stop touring sold out festivals and headlining prominent nightclubs around the world, Ali spent a few years settling into Los Angeles relocating from NYC where she had spent majority of her life. Her current dance single with Sultan + Shepard entitled "Almost Home", a duet with Singer/Songwriter IRO, was recently nominated for a prestigious JUNO Award and has garnered millions of streams globally. In the last year she has been working on a brand new artist project, HYLLS which was launched in January 2018 with the release of a new song, every month of the year. HYLLS marks a compelling transition from the energetic club sound which Ali has been long recognized for, to now exploring new tempos and sounds.
