Biography

The name Westfalia recalls the famous Volkswagen van, a true icon for travelers all over the world, known for overcoming challenges big and small. Westfalia blend soul, black music, and acid-jazz, for a sound that will mesmerize fans of the underground scene, but it’s just as enticing to new legions of listeners. The band was born out of a meeting between Vincenzo Destradis, David Paulis, Jacopo Moschetto and Enrico Truzzi, musical creatures whose natural habitat is the stage. After a few years spent on small stages in Bologna and other cities in the area, in 2021 they released their single "My New Mouse" for the label Needn't and then they took part in the talent show “X Factor”, arriving to the live shows among the 12 finalists. During that time they recorded and released their single “Goblin”.
