HARPOON Producer, DJ and record label curator Harpoon is undeniably one of Australia’s most prolific artists occupying the house music space. Born in Dubbo but calling Gold Coast Queensland his home, Ryan Harper - the name behind the profile - is dotting the map globally with his abundance of house and tech house signatures and a penchant for memorable vocals, securing twelve consecutive ARIA top 10 chart spots and two #1’s. Bringing crowds together with main stage weapons, his evocative delivery is a clear testament to his craft, seeing him nominated for music awards, setting charts ablaze and concreting some of the most impressive shows across the country, with releases on Toolroom Records, Tinted, Good Company Records and Sonny Fodera’s label Solotoko. 2023 has welcomed a standout official remix from Haroon, for dance music exemplar Joel Corry’s ‘Yeah’, ahead of a big year of highly anticipated original music. Tapping the #1 ARIA Club Chart spot with his recent Toolroom Records single ‘Heaven’, he lent on the high-demand vocalist Janai, previously featured on top-tier music from the likes of Dusky and Sonny Fodera. ‘Supposed To Do’ alongside Stevie Appleton who recently collaborated with Gorgon City and John Summit, dropped in 2022, brewing the follow up collaboration on ‘Goodbye’ via Solotoko. 2019 saw the release of ‘In Your Mind’, also gracing the #1 spot for three weeks, while an ARIA nomination for Best Dance Track tied the year up flawlessly.
