Biography

AISEL is a songwriter, singer and pianist. Born and raised in a family of musicians in Baku, Azerbaijan. Her life has been associated with music since early childhood. Graduate of the Azerbaijan State Conservatory. She took part in such music festivals as Caspian Jazz & Blues Festival, Baku International Jazz Festival, MuzEnergo Music Improvisation Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival, Caucus Jazz Festival, HEAT Festival, New Wave Festival, F1 Grand Prix Azerbaijan In 2012, she took vocal lessons at ETM (Switzerland) with Alexander Coppaloni (ALENKO). In 2014, she studied with Deborah J. Carter (Holland). In 2018, AISEL represented Azerbaijan at Eurovision with the song X My Heart. Inspired by Jacob Colier, James Blake and Sevdalisa, AISEL composes music in genres ranging from soundtracks to electronic music. To date, she has released 3 EP albums (1 studio, 2 - live) as well as more than 20 singles.
