Biography
Dominican Alex Bueno began singing and playing guitar at a very young age. He moved from his native San José de las Matas to Santo Domingo when he was a teenager, looking for a better chance to get involved in show business. In 1979, the young artist joined Gerardo Vera's All-Stars, later recording a local hit called "Piel Canela" with Fernando Villalona. In 1982, Alex Bueno formed a tropical act called Orquesta Liberación, singing along with Andrés de Jesus. After issuing 1993's Ternura, the successful album Me Equivoque was recorded and produced in 1995 by Jaime Querol and Manuel Tejada. Following 1999's Corazón Duro and Bachata A Su Tiempo, Alex Bueno returned in 2001 with Unicamente Tú, the title was based on a popular song composed by Felipe Valdes. ~ Drago Bonacich, Rovi
