Meet Emmi; the UK born, Aussie raised, New York dwelling artist with an accent as confusing as you might expect. An actress turned songwriter turned artist in her own right, Emmi started self releasing music from her bedroom a few years ago earning her early fans in the likes of BBC Radio 1's Greg James, Elton John and Taylor Swift (Who tweeted about it as a new song "that will make your life more awesome") to name a few. After enjoying Global and US viral chart action in the wake of said cosign, Emmi then leant her songwriting and vocal chops to 2 platinum selling features (Feder's 'Blind', Sonny Alven's 'Our Youth') before landing her first movie role as a singing goblin in the Harry Potter prequel 'Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them', singing a song penned by JK Rowling herself. She also took home the title of MTV Brand New artist (Aus/NZ) by popular vote the same year. Empowered by her warm welcome, Emmi then disappeared to start working on her debut album project. "I wanted to make something as big as the dreams in my head. Something that made use of all my many pieces." True to her word, Emmi returned April 2021 to announce the arrival of her new concept project 'Players'; a collection of pop songs, each inspired by a different character of the plays of William Shakespeare, repurposed for today. No lutes. No ye olde English. Just great pop songs about the human condition, straight to the point. 1st single 'Drum' is OUT NOW. 2nd due July 9th. Stay tuned!
