[laika] Visit us on our socials! We are unsigned! We are LEYKA from Mainz, Germany. Aggression, intolerance, racism, sexism and any kind of discrimination have no place in our music. Our message is to treat others with respect and tolerance. The martial but definitely melodic soundscape of our music, is formed by the alternation between the shoutparts of our singer Tom and the cleans of our guitarist Philippe, which unfold on our heavy instrumental base. We would not describe our sound as aggressive, but more as energetic and powerful. The alternation between hard riffs and melodic lead parts, powerful shouts and clean melodies should consciously embody and carry the emotionality of the songs. We would describe our style as Metalcore, but our sound is based somewhere between Hardcore, Metalcore and Melodic Deathmetal.
