Biography
Ketil FUNKY DUCK has been a famous figure on the Norwegian music scene since the late seventies, both as a songwriter, singer and guitarist. He fronted a chart-topping pop/rock band named ZOO in the 70-ties and the 80-ties, releasing 6 albums altogether. The band had a long life of tremendous success, selling 2 silver and 2 gold albums. Ketil participated in The Eurovision Song Contest twice, with the songs “Romeo” in 1986 and “Brandenburger Tor” in 1990. After 6 years and 6 albums, he then left ZOO and the teenage scene to form his own outfit, Stokkan Bluesband. He managed to establish himself as a capable Blues and Rock & Roll-artist, receiving ace reviews for his live-acts and musical skills. As a solo-artist Ketil has been on national and international TV several times, performing live in front of millions of people all over Europe and parts of the Middle East. In 2021 Ketil is back with “My life is OK”, his fourth attempt to win the ESC. He also formed a new band, Ketil Stokkan & FUNKY DUCKS (live album available!). Thousands of sold out concerts, several TV- shows, numerous singles and 13 albums including both Norwegian and English lyrics will be remembered by a large number of Ketils faithful followers.
