Biography

Growing up in a musically influenced culture, Tongan artist, Maka immersed himself in the world of music as an adolescent. He began his journey performing as a member in his church choir where his adoration of the art developed. Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, he was inspired and surrounded by iconic musicians that cultivated the identity of Hip Hop in California. After taking a hiatus to focus on football in high school, Maka returned to music and established his presence in 2020 after releasing his first single “Road Runnin” under veryspecial. Music. He has since dropped consecutive singles with song “Into You” being his latest. Playing on the ballads of R&B intermixed with street sound, the rapper/singer mirrors his life experiences through his music. With family, God and money being his constant motivators, Maka is determined to make an imprint in and outside of the industry.
