Biography
This is not just a hobby. I take it seriously and I almost never laugh. At the very least, I don’t laugh out loud. I stifle any troublesome mirth so that I can focus intently on the goal at hand. This goal is to finish at least one song and possibly another so that I have at least enough to fill up a good old-fashioned album. Hopefully, someone will like something about it. Praise be! ------------- Press for my hobby: “Suzy Callahan imbues “Maybe” with more mystery and complex emotions and offbeat observations than entire albums by many artists…Fans of Edith Frost will definitely find much to love in Callahan’s catalog.” - Queen City Sounds and Arts Blog. “Her imagery is very personal and emotional, just like the themes of introspection and dissolution often explored within her music. There is a definite melancholic vibe to Suzy’s songs, yet her work is uplifting.” – thebandcampdiaries.com “The album is a collection of rich and sensual songs with down-tempo undertones.” - NPR Former lead singer of Devils Wielding Scimitars
