Biography
One of the most promising independent artists of the new generation is Aaryan Shah. Born and raised in LA, he has steadily ascended since he first dropped out of school to pursue music at 15. Aaryan has crafted his sound by blurring the lines between genres – becoming something of an “anti-pop” hero. Initially, Aaryan built an identity by removing his identity, erasing his online presence and wearing a mask — allowing fans to focus on art. After his long-awaited face reveal in 2021, Aaryan kicked off a new era, live from Paris Fashion Week. After his sophomore project The Dark Ages, Aaryan released highly-anticipated single "Mania,” which was first leaked at his Paris pop-up. Backed by an army of fans, Aaryan later introduced Codex, a 3-part body of work inspired by the lost files of Da Vinci and the early renaissance. Following the final installment of Codex, Aaryan’s 2018 "Renegade” became one of 2022’s biggest viral moments, amassing billions of views on TikTok. Rolling Stone India also crowned him “one to watch” – a nod of respect from his South Asian heritage. In the midst of a career-defining moment, Aaryan performed at The GRAMMY Museum, debuting “Once Upon a Time in Fucking Hollywood” — an angsty single touching on exploitation and the life of a modern artist. As Aaryan unveils his fourth full length project – “A Love Letter to LA” – his fandom grows larger by the day, witnessing the birth of an underground superstar.
