    Biography

    MINHO debuted as a member of a contemporary K-Pop boy band SHINee in 2008. SHINee brought along with them a new wave to K-Pop with their hits including "Replay", "Sherlock", and "View” with their unique, unprecedented genre of music that earned them the title “Princes of K-Pop’. The band also gained international recognition; Rolling Stone named SHINee’s “Sherlock” as one of the “75 Greatest Boy Band Songs of All Time” and gave them praise for the experimentality and innovation of their music style. As the main rapper of SHINee, MINHO has participated in writing the raps and lyrics of their own songs, starting with the track ‘Get Down (KEY&MINHO) on their third mini album “2009, Year of Us”. Aside from his activities as a member of SHINee, MIHHO has kicked off his acting career with the role of ‘Oh Jero’ in a drama special "Pianist" in 2010. He made appearances in many other tv series including "To the Beautiful You", "My First Time", "The Most Beautiful Goodbye", "Yumi’s Cells" and more. He has consistently built up filmography as an actor, starring in the films "Canola (2015)", ‘Derailed (2016)", "ILLANG: THE WOLF BRIGADE (2018)", and "Battle of Jangsari (2019)". MINHO released a new single "Heartbreak" on December 21st, 2021.
