Biography

Raxstar's unique perspective on the intersection of his British and Asian identity sets him apart from other artists. He explains that duality is an integral part of his identity and represented this superbly in his 2005 breakout song "Keep It Undercover". The fusion of Bollywood and smooth 90s R&B in his 2011 hit "Jaaneman" served as a game changer for his career. His songs including "Queen" (w/ Zack Knight), "Ankhiyaan," "Bandook" (w/ Badshah) and "Ki Kargeyi" (w/ The PropheC) have earned him fans worldwide and led him to tour extensively throughout the UK and internationally. He dropped his debut studio album "Glass Ceiling" in 2018, featuring collaborations with Arjun, Pav Dharia and Humble the Poet. In 2019, he released his most personal project to date, "Artbreak," and wrote all the songs for the stage production of "Mushy: Lyrically Speaking" by Rifco Theatre Company. Currently, Raxstar is making waves with two new standout projects that showcase his growth and versatility. "Sadboihours," a 3-track EP, explores a relationship break up through emotive lyrics and introspective beats. The track "Ask," featuring Shweta Pandya, has taken social media by storm. Meanwhile, his latest album "Content" delves into the evolving nature of artistry and its relationship with social media. With a loyal fan base and an ever-growing presence on social media, Raxstar continues to prove that he is a relevant voice in the industry and is poised for continued success in the future.
