Songs have always been a guiding force in the life of Moorea Masa (pronounced More-ray-uh Mah-sa). Raised in the musical mecca of Portland, Oregon, this singer, songwriter, and guitarist has been crafting soul-stirring melodies for as long as she can remember. Born to an Italian immigrant father and a Black mother, Moorea's multicultural background and diverse influences shine through her captivating music. Moorea Masa has shared stages with renowned artists such as k.d. Lang, Allen Stone, Big Wild, Rachael Price (Lake Street Dive), The Motet, El Vy, and Nick Waterhouse. She has headlined tours in Europe and supported other incredible talents like Corinne Bailey Rae, Emily King, Lawrence, The Dip, Lady Wray, Bernhoft, and many more. Moorea Masa & The Mood's previous release, "Heart In The Wild," delved into the challenges of a relationship with someone battling severe mental illness. This heartfelt exploration of hardship resonated with listeners, demonstrating Moorea's ability to translate personal experiences into poignant music.
