Biography
As a solo Producer /Artist, J-Felix has released in 2015 His debut album ‘101 Reasons’, his disco-tinted “Runaway EP”, his Boogie/ Soul and Disco flavoured 'Say The Word' EP and his formative, Sophomore album 'Whole Again Hooligan which is drenched in P-Funk and Hip-Hop & collaborators on the way including El Train and Andrew Ashong. The title track was recently used on the new Showtime series 'Let The Right One in' based on the original film. J-Felix’s music has been showcased at a string of support slots with his full live band for George Clinton (Parliament – Funkadelic), Roy Ayers and Soul ll Soul as well as regular headline shows . J-Felix also shines on stage as a DJ and has played Glastonbury, Soundwave Croatia, Love Supreme, Nova Batida (Portugal) & many more. His unique sound has been picked up by DJs & tastemakers including Julie Adenuga (Beats1), who played his music on her debut show, Jamz Supernova on 1Extra who had him on for an interview, Huey Morgan (BBC 6Music), who featured two tracks as his “Beat of the Week” and “Meat of the Week”; Phil Taggart on BBC Radio 1 as well as Don Letts, Mary Anne Hobbs, Nemone (BBC 6Music) and heavy rotations on KCRW (LA), Worldwide FM, NTS, FIP Radio (France) a knockout review from NME and Mixmag, premieres from Clash, Wordplay and SoulBounce and more.
