中川 翔子（なかがわ しょうこ、1985年（昭和60年）5月5日 -）は、日本の女性バラエティアイドル、マルチタレント。ワタナベエンターテインメント所属。 『しょこたん』の愛称で知られ、2004年11月に開始したブログ「しょこたん☆ぶろぐ」で人気を博し、2006年に歌手デビュー。東京都中野区出身。本名、中川 しようこ。桃井はるこに続いて現れた秋葉系タレントの先駆けであり、インターネット文化やオタク的趣味が一般的でなかった2000年代中盤から、マスメディアで頻繁に2ちゃんねる用語の亜種（しょこたん語）を使用し、漫画・特撮・カンフーオタクとしての側面を全面に出して活動している。同時並行して、コスプレも行ってきている。 Wikipediaの項目 を Creative Commons Attribution CC-BY-SA 4.0に基づき二次利用しています。 Shoko Nakagawa (born May 5, 1985) is a multi-talented artist from Tokyo, Japan. She is an artist, actress, voice-actress, illustrator and writer. Known to her fans as "Shokotan" she debuted from Sony Music Japan in 2006. She has gained her popularity by showing her love of otaku-culture ( animation, manga-comics, cosplay etc.) . Her distinctive fashion style is taken in by "Kawaii" culture from Harajuku and her unique vocabulary also made her a one and only artist. In her busy schedule, she makes time for her cats, illustrations, games, manga and Kung-Fu. In recent years she is also known for singing the Pokemon animated movie series theme songs in Japan which also landed her a voice-acting career in the Pokemon animations.
