Biography
British born musician Mark Gemini Thwaite aka MGT has performed with a variety of artists over the years, including a long tenure with British goth rockers The Mission; as guitarist for Peter Murphy of Bauhaus, several albums and tours with UK Trip hop pioneer Tricky, and recorded & performed with electronic legend Gary Numan, also Alanis Morissette, PJ Harvey and more. Following a collaboration with Al Jourgensen of Ministry on a joint single, this lead to a collaboration with various vocalists for debut MGT album ‘Volumes’ released in 2016, including a single with Ville Valo of Finnish love metallers HIM, a brooding hard rock version of ABBA’s 70's classic ‘Knowing Me Knowing You’. Other guest appearances on the album included Wayne Hussey of The Mission, Miles Hunt and Erica Nockalls of The Wonder Stuff , Ricky Warwick of Black Star Riders & Thin Lizzy, Raymond Watts of PIG, Saffron of Republica, Julianne Regan of All About Eve, plus guest appearances by newcomers such as Ashton Nyte of South African band The Awakening and Carlo Van Putten of Dead Guitars. In 2018 MGT releases a single collaboration with Lol Tolhurst and Porl Thompson, both founder members of The Cure. This is followed by the sophomore MGT album 'Gemini Nyte', co-written with Ashton Nyte who handles all vocal duties, along with Big Paul Ferguson from Killing Joke on drums, plus a guest vocal by Burton C. Bell of Fear Factory, who MGT also performs as part of Ascension Of The Watchers.
